1. Introduction
These terms and conditions govern the $10,000 Website Giveaway (the “Giveaway”) conducted by Media Island (the “Sponsor”). By participating in the Giveaway, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
2. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open to legal residents of Australia who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry.
Employees, officers, and directors of the Sponsor, their immediate family members, and individuals living in the same household are not eligible to participate.
3. Giveaway Period
The Giveaway begins on 22nd of May, 2024 and ends on the 28th of June 5 PM.
The winner will be drawn on July 1st, 2024.
4. How to Enter
No purchase is necessary to enter or win.
Entrants must complete the entry form available at [Website URL] and provide all required information.
Limit one (1) entry per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
5. Prize
One (1) winner will receive a website design and development package valued at $10,000. This is one of our selections of a layout website templates found here.
The prize is non-transferable and no cash alternative will be offered.

In order to claim the prize the website must be hosted at $59 per month on-going once the site is live.
6. Winner Selection and Notification
The winner will be selected in a random drawing from all eligible entries received.
The drawing will be conducted on July 1st, 2024 at 12PM AEST. The selection will be posted on our website and via our social media platforms.
The winner will be notified via email and/or telephone within 30 days of the drawing.
The winner must respond to the notification within 30 days to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond within this time frame, the prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected.
To ensure a fair and transparent selection process, we will use the following method to determine the winners:
- The draw will be conducted using the online random number generator Random.org.
- To ensure the system is tested and working correctly, we will generate three random Business Names of those who have entered.
- The third random number generated will be used to select the winner.
- This method guarantees the integrity and fairness of the selection process. The draw will be overseen by an independent person to ensure transparency.
7. Publicity
By accepting the prize, the winner agrees to the use of their name, likeness, and entry for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
8. Privacy
Any personal information collected during the entry process will be used in accordance with the Sponsor’s Privacy Policy, available at Privacy Policy
9. General Conditions
The Sponsor reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or modify the Giveaway if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway, as determined by the Sponsor in its sole discretion.
The Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway or to be acting in violation of these terms and conditions or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
The Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway.
This offer is valid for websites up to 10 pages and includes e-commerce products up to 100 items. For websites exceeding these limits, we can either provide a detailed quote for the additional costs or offer comprehensive training sessions. These sessions will equip you with the knowledge to manage and update your site, allowing you to upload and modify further content and products independently.
Website Design.
This offer applies exclusively to our pre-designed layout websites. You can choose from our existing design custom WordPress templates, which we will then customise to match your branding, including updates to colours and fonts. Additionally, a custom home page mock-up will be provided to ensure the design aligns with your vision.
10. Limitation of Liability
By participating in the Giveaway, entrants agree to release and hold harmless the Sponsor and its respective subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees, and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action arising out of participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use of any prize, including, but not limited to: (a) unauthorized human intervention in the Giveaway; (b) technical errors; (c) printing errors; (d) lost, late, postage-due, misdirected, or undeliverable mail; (e) errors in the administration of the Giveaway or the processing of entries; or (f) injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.
11. Disputes
Except where prohibited, the entrant agrees that any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of, or connected with, the Giveaway or any prize awarded shall be resolved individually, without resorting to any form of class action, and exclusively by the appropriate court located in [Your Jurisdiction].
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation, and enforceability of these terms and conditions, the entrant’s rights and obligations, or the rights and obligations of the Sponsor in connection with the Giveaway, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of [Your Jurisdiction], without giving effect.
